Recycling Drop-off Center closed

As of June 1, 2023, the City of Maple Grove Recycling Drop-off is closed. Curbside residential recycling is strong in Maple Grove, and residents also have access to the Hennepin County Drop-off Facility in Brooklyn Park.

Residential recycling

For residential recycling needs, contact the city’s contracted recycler, Republic Services. You may request a larger recycling cart or a second cart for free.  Contact Republic Services at 320-252-9608 or by email at mgrecycling@republicservices.com. Type “Maple Grove” in the subject line and include address and phone number in the email.

Hennepin County Drop-off Facility

The drop-off facility is conveniently located in Brooklyn Park at 8100 Jefferson Highway. A wide variety of common recyclable materials, such as paper, glass, aluminum, plastics, carboard, etc., are accepted at no cost (the same type of items accepted in curbside recycling). Other materials allowed include organics, household hazardous waste, and problem materials.

In addition, residents can safely discard appliances, audio video equipment, paint, automotive fluids, phones, mattresses, and more at the Hennepin County site. The majority of these items were not accepted at the city’s recycling center. Disposal fees may apply to some items at the county facility.

Visit the Hennepin County website for drop-off facility hours and details as well as comprehensive information on ways to recycle, reuse, or dispose of a wide variety of items.
